P- Game Changer
Ok, I know, I know, I know.... it's been awhile since you've heard from me. Basically, it's because nothing has been going on. I've been making quizzes on "British Imperialism" and "Medieval Feudal Society," while attempting to write a bit of my own work- developing a few new pieces for the stage, as they say. Soon enough, you'll be lucky to hear them on stage- if I'm ever invited back on stage, that is. But, that's all changed. The quizzes are still constant and the writing is ebbing and flowing, but there's a change in this Game of Thrones...
I'VE MET SOMEONE!!
Now, I'm not going to give too much information, as it's new and I don't want to jinx it. But, he doesn't have a boyfriend, which is, in my book, a good start. (please see earlier blog entries)
A few weeks ago, a glass or two of Chardonnay into my night, I was checking my dusty OKCupid profile on the off-chance that someone had perhaps sought me out and was impatiently awaiting a reply. That didn't happen. But, what did happen was this: I started checking out profiles and one stood out to me. A super cute guy with a carrot in his mouth. I clicked on the carrot and read the profile- which I did before checking out the additional pictures. The profile made me laugh, the additional pictures were cute, so I went out on a limb and sent a message to him that he actually replied to. We began a back and forth email exchange for a week, give or take, and discovered we live quite closer to one another. We decided to meet for a drink, since the whole point is not to make local pen-pals.
We met up on a Thursday, since I didn't have to work on Friday. Thankfully. Because, one drink led to another which led to another and so on. I was having a great time, but unsure as to whether or not he was interested in me. As the night came to an end, we shared a nice kiss and he said, "I really didn't think that you were interested...". SAME PAGE!
So, over the course of the past two-three weeks, we've gone out more and are having a good time getting to know each other. And, as per last evening's conversation, we are on the same page right now. If this continues down the path it is now, I'll share more juice. But until then, keep your fingers crossed.
And, because Shelby is completely self-absorbed, most people in our lives get nicknames so that she can recall who is being referred to when we talk to each other. Seriously, she never remembers anyone's name... So now we have Todd in the picture and as well as....drum roll....
